Mandated as a result of research amongst its founding members to provide a training and development capability for their mid-career, high potential technical professionals, the EIIL's workshop programme was the initial raison d'etre of the Institute. Designed with contributions from experienced leaders in industry to provide a unique learning experience , the Workshops improve the business leadership qualities of engineers, scientists and technologists by providing targeted business education and training. The purpose of the programme is to help companies committed to developing, and thereby retaining, their best talent.

Programme Schedule - A Flexible Learning Approach
Each of the workshops in the EIIL Learning programme is designed to stand-alone. The programme schedule allows future leaders to attend a selection of workshops during any year as their career and personal development needs dictate. [ Click here for a description of which workshops might be relevant in an illustrative 'model' career.]
To help identify workshops which address similar or related learning objectives, we have grouped workshops together into modules (see left), each with a common theme. The EIIL can further support Corporate Members in identying combinations of workshops to best address the learning objectives of individuals in their top talent team.
